Very true! I'm not going to repair it to be honest - he wheel is in a perfectly useable state. Plus the a new rim can be laced on to what is essentially a brand new hub for not much money...
It could be with a pair of pliers but that could potentially fatigue the metal. The ding isn't huge - compare it to the size of the spoke hole under the rim tape.

It's the only one on the rim. Was done in May and been holding a tyre on fine since then. The whole wheel was newly built in March this year.
